Spark Coverage Cup
Media relations is at the heart of a successful campaign and our team take great pride in beating their colleagues to win the weekly Spark Coverage Cup vote.
The winning piece of coverage isn’t just about circulation or credibility. A great business national or broadcast piece doesn’t always beat trade coverage – outcomes are key. How effectively was the client’s message communicated? What was the engagement like? Did it result in leads?
While earned coverage is now only part of what we do, the impact of what we deliver is often why clients choose to work with us in the first place. It’s why 80% of our clients come through referral and why some of our clients have stayed with us for over ten years.
Below are some of our previous highlights:
Coverage Cup 08/03/2024
We’re kicking off this latest Coverage Cup round-up with a letter from our client Scalable, which was featured in the Financial Times. The team responded to a recent news story with a warning that employees want flexibility, so companies need to get over their productivity paranoia. Elsewhere, our Hexaware team secured coverage in a Raconteur Insights report, exploring how businesses can overcome the challenges posed by AI – including risk of bias and the skills gap.
Pitching new research from clients has been a significant coverage driver over the last couple of weeks. First off, we secured coverage in TechRadar Pro, BetaNews, Infosecurity, CyberNews and Digitalisation World with HP’s quarterly security ‘Threat Insights Report’, which found hackers are using ad tools and marketing gimmicks. Research from Daisy on legacy IT systems and its environmental impact was covered in IT Pro, Microscope and TechRadar Pro amongst others, Hygraph’s ‘Future of Content’ report investigating how existing content management systems hold back businesses was picked up by the likes of CXM and IT Brief. Finally, the WalkMe team’s continued efforts to pitch the latest ‘State of Digital Adoption’ report resulted in a video interview with Digitalisation World.
Client products and partnerships have also been making headlines in recent weeks. This included two diginomica stories off the back of Dynatrace’s Perform 2024 conference, firstly an in-depth piece on AI products and capabilities announced at the event, followed by coverage of a fireside chat on new forms of AI-enabled security risk. Vectra’s partnership with Gigamon was covered by SecurityBrief UK, and Infinigate’s new digital experience insight partnership programme was featured in Microscope. Phesi’s Trial Accelerator platform hitting a milestone of holding data from more than 100 million patients was written up by Pharma Times. And the NetDocuments team achieved coverage down under, with a recent customer win story appearing in the New Zealand Lawyer.
Our news hijack programmes have also driven great results in recent weeks. After our team moved quickly, Dynatrace was the only company quoted in a Tech Monitor story on the EU AI Act clearing its latest legislative hurdle. Meanwhile the Onnec team secured coverage on IT Pro, sharing a warning about the increased cooling demands on data centres brought by the surge in business use of AI.
